Gopalpur Beach Fest kicks off with singer Sanam Puri

The five-day-long Gopalpur Belabhumi Mahotsav (Beach Festival)-2024 kicked off at the port town on Thursday evening.
During the extravaganza, people will witness a feast of hit songs and dances, including folk, classical as well as modern from artistes not only from Odisha, but from outside the State.
The introductory evening was made melodious by Bollywood singer Sanam Puri who mesmerised the audience with his enthralling performance.
This apart, like every year, Pallishree Mela is being organised by the government on the occasion. Wooden products, Ayurvedic products, terracotta and textile items from across the country will be an added attraction.
Speaking about the arrangements, Berhampur SP, Saravana Vivek M said, “We have made all kinds of arrangements including the traffic. SP, Additional SP, DSP, Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors and 10 platoons of force have been deployed to make the festival incident-free.”
The Gopalpur Belabhumi Mahotsav was started in 1996 with an aim of showcasing the art and culture of Ganjam district. It is now drawing visitors thousands in numbers every night.
